An accredited course is one which has been formally approved by the authority regulating standards set by the same authority (in Malta’s case, the Malta Further and Higher Education Authority). All courses at IDEA College listed under the category ‘MQF Levels’ are fully accredited, including the separate modules contained within.
IDEA College is fully licensed by the Malta Further and Higher Education Authority (MFHEA), which is the national authority that accredits all further and higher education institutions in Malta. Malta is, in turn, signatory to the Bologna Process.
The Bologna Process is a process of cooperation in the field of higher education, bringing together 49 countries (including Malta) in what is known as the ‘European Higher Education Area’ (EHEA). All signatories must commit to ensure mutual recognition of study programmes through a common credit system (ECTS) and cooperate to guarantee quality assurance. This means that our courses are legally recognised internationally.

MQF stands for Malta Qualifications Framework, administered by the Malta Further and Higher Education Authority (MFHEA). It is the national framework that all accredited institutions abide by. This framework allows education to be organised by the levels of qualification and thus will allow education to be transferrable across borders. For more information, visit here.
